After doing some digging around after failing to get any sound recording from my Audigy 2, seems that there might be an issue with having over 4 gigs of RAM in my system.
I'd like to draw your attention to this Creative issue report:

In particular the last line: "It is severely hurting customer trust and the Sound Blaster brand."
Damn straight it is, I'm off.

HTC Sync and HTC Hero problems in Windows 7
Seems that HTC Sync drivers refuse to install correctly in Windows 7 (64 and 32 bit).
Seems to work fine in Vista though.
I've managed to get a fix working though, which will get HTC Sync to recognise the HTC Hero in Windows 7 :

What can be said abour Far Cry 2?
Well I started playing this on release day yesterday, and probably didn't get off on the right foot following the activation issues that plagued the UK on release day. Nice 1 Ubisoft!
That eventually gets resolved so now able to launch it. But wait, I can hear music but can only see a blank black window at the top left quarter of my screen.
Find that I now either have to switch Aero off (in Vista 64), or tick Disable visual themes on the exe properties.
Ok now sorted, lets try again. Hoorah, game launches - lets change the screen res and direct x versions first in the options. Le sigh. Back to blank back window again.
Nvidia GTX 280, SLI issues.
So, additional BFG 280 GTX H2OC arrived the other day for my main rig for some SLI greatness. Well, greatness is a bit strong a word here :)
Installed the card ok, after a bit of hassle, as water cooled PC bits isn't terribly straight forward.
Booted Vista (64 Home Premium) again nothing found. No SLI settings in Nvidia control panel. Hmmm. I'm unsure what I sohuld be expecting to see though. Never installed an SLI setup before.
Switched PC off, swapped power connectors around again etc. Rebooted Vista. Again nothing. Dammit.

This seems to be working well so I will post how to implement it in your own Pixie CMS site.
