Retail Windows 7 has landed...

Well seems that they may of released it slightly earlier than the announced 22nd of October as mine arrived this morning.

There is apparently a work around to 'upgrade' Windows 7 release candidate to another version, namely Home Premium in my case.
I'm about to embark on this adventure following tips from here: http://icrontic.com/articles/upgrade-the-windows-7-rc-to-retail
I'll let you know how I get on :)
Ok install now complete after following advice from the above link.
Took far longer than expected (around 2.5 hours total), and appeared to just hang in places. Just be patient :)

Few problems, mainly seem network related:
Hamachi hasn't come back online correctly and would seem to need a reinstall to sort out.
Eset Smart Security firewall screwed up. This required a reinstall to correct.
Also seemed to find a problem with my IDE controller, however I only have a DVD drive connected to that so wasn't overly concerned at this stage.

Aside from that, plain sailing. At face value, everything seems ok.
Thank you Robert Hallcock for the above article :)
