The Asylum Boards of Audio - Full version
Warmth, wear and movement.
An expressive virtual synthesizer plugin for drifting chords, dusty keys, soft pulses and evolving textures. Boards of Audio combines organic synthesis with tape-inspired character, bringing warmth, atmosphere and subtle instability to your music.
Build your own sounds from multiple sources, shape them with filtering and saturation, then add ensemble, magnetic echoes and room ambience. Blend in procedural Environment sounds or import your own recordings to give each patch a character and setting of its own.
The Behaviour Matrix brings movement into your playing. Create editable curves and event patterns that respond to notes, releases and performance gestures. Let a chord slowly change colour, make an echo bloom after release, or introduce temporary wear and tonal changes using four assignable macros and eight performance pads.
Explore 108 native factory presets, including dedicated Synth and Movement categories, alongside the 20 Original programmes from the Free Edition. Preset search, favourites, Undo and A/B comparison make it easy to explore and refine your ideas.
From intimate ambient pieces to textured electronic tracks and atmospheric film cues, Boards of Audio is an instrument for sounds that feel lived in.
